Technology

Although the central theme of the trip is to explore the world and its countries and cultures in the purest of settings possible, we also want to strive to be technologically advanced with our web page. This serves several purposes. It allows us to keep everyone as informed as possible about our travels and also serves as a professionally presented resource outlet to showcase the organizations, companies, individuals and products that we not only encounter during our trip, but who also help to make it possible.

Through a blog that is continuously updated, photo and video galleries that creatively portray the places we have visited, product showcases and interesting features such as an interactive forum we hope to provide an interesting environment that people will want to keep coming back to. Additionally, we hope to incorporate new technologies into the web page that will allow our visitors and viewers to follow our trip as closely as possible such as downloadable, narrated slideshows and “podcasts.”

Stay tuned as we are continuing to refine our ideas and capabilities and incorporate them into our web page…

Things are Starting to Take Shape!

Well, it has been a busy month for the TWBR team. We now have a rough web site up and running and are adding content to the various pages all the time. In addition to the technical aspects, we have also made a lot of progress conceptually. We have been brainstorming the philosophical purposes of the trip and have been polishing up our mission statements.

We have also made great progress in generating awareness of our trip. Although it may not be indicated on our web page yet, we have been developing numerous contacts with individuals in several different sectors. We have developed solid leads in the media/journalism arena, have started to cultivate relationships with aid organizations in several countries and continents with whom we hope to promote, and have started to make some contacts with potential donors and sponsors.

All of the feedback we have received so far has been extremely positive. If there are any common themes in our discussions with these individuals and groups, they are: excitement, curiosity, and receptiveness. If the feedback thus far is any indication about the potential success of our trip, we have a lot to look forward to. What was once a lofty dream to travel and explore the world is now, more so than ever, becoming a tangible reality!

The blog has been created.

We have finally got the blog up and ready to start keeping everyone updated. This is going to be a great way for anyone to get regular updates of what is going on in the trip.

You will have an unsurpassed view of the world from a realistic view. This is not reality TV, this is not a biased news program, this is not a media outlet going for the highest ratings. We are simply a crew of people that believe there is something out there different than what we all know as our reality.
