border-top-style: none! important; border-right-style: none! important; border-left-style: none! important; border-bottom-style: none! important\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=theworldbyroa-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=0877423520\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The crew and our week-on-the-road-warriors (Shoppman\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s sister, Katie and her husband, Nate) awoke Sunday morning in our ocean-side rustic cabana in Nexpa.\u00c2\u00a0 Nate did some masterful mechanic tricks on the Sequoia over the weekend, so we were set to head to Barra de Navidad.\u00c2\u00a0 Barra de Navidad is a small, country beach town on the Pacific that has many small craft shops, restaurants, bars and a<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; margin: 5px; border-left: 0px; border-bottom: 0px\" title=\"DSC_0027\" src=\"http:\/\/www.theworldbyroad.com\/expedition\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/dsc-0027.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"DSC_0027\" width=\"354\" height=\"238\" align=\"left\" \/> neat little pier.\u00c2\u00a0 From here we made the trek on Monday to the spring break hot-spot of Puerto Vallarta.\u00c2\u00a0 We were graciously accommodated by the <a href=\"http:\/\/oasishostel.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Oasis Hostel<\/a>, and enjoyed everything they had to offer.\u00c2\u00a0 The hostel was spotless, had great rooms with cable tv and a dvd player, a lounge room with computers and television, an awesome roof top area, great receptionists, laundry service, and its location just outside the main downtown area was perfect.\u00c2\u00a0 Tuesday was our\u00c2\u00a0 chill day in Puerto Vallarta, and Wednesday was departure and arrival day.\u00c2\u00a0 The departure flight took Katie and Nate back to Denver.\u00c2\u00a0 The week we had with them was a blast, and it was great to have them on the road with us.\u00c2\u00a0 It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d be hard to find two nicer of people.\u00c2\u00a0 All of us are looking forward to seeing them soon.\u00c2\u00a0 The arrival flight brought new crew member, Celeste Tenuta, into town.\u00c2\u00a0 Her photography experience and creativity will be a great addition to our cast of characters.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-right: 0px; border-top: 0px; display: inline; margin: 5px; border-left: 0px; border-bottom: 0px\" title=\"DSC_0047\" src=\"http:\/\/www.theworldbyroad.com\/expedition\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/03\/dsc-0047.jpg\" border=\"0\" alt=\"DSC_0047\" width=\"354\" height=\"238\" align=\"right\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Thursday took us from Puerto Vallarta to the incredible, small town of Tequila.\u00c2\u00a0 The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hotelplazajardin.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Hotel Plaza Jardin<\/a> was able to accommodate us, and we were thrilled to stay right in the town plaza.\u00c2\u00a0 Friday was by far the highlight of the week.\u00c2\u00a0 We started the morning off with a VIP tour of the Jose Cuervo factory.\u00c2\u00a0 It was nothing less than incredible.\u00c2\u00a0 We were lucky enough to see the entire process from the harvest in the fields, to the baking of the agave plant, to the press, fermentation, and then to the distillery.\u00c2\u00a0 The finale of our tour brought us down into a cave that holds wooden barrels of tequila that were rated the 2nd best liquor\u00c2\u00a0 in the entire world.\u00c2\u00a0 We were able to dip a pouring device into one of the wooden barrels and pour a glass.\u00c2\u00a0 Then our guide, who was so professional and thorough that we really didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t even have to ask questions, instructed us on how to taste test the elite tequila.\u00c2\u00a0 The tour is a must if you are visiting Tequila, Mexico.\u00c2\u00a0 After an excellent meal we passed the night observing a town celebration in the\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 plaza.\u00c2\u00a0 A few speeches started things out, followed by a parade of little kids dressed up in animal costumes, and ended with a musical performance on the main stage.\u00c2\u00a0 Men, women and children were having more than a great time.\u00c2\u00a0 If smiles and laughs were scary, it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d be the only way that this town would make me afraid.\u00c2\u00a0 I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d take everyone from my parents, grandmothers, brothers, and friends to this town.\u00c2\u00a0 <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-right: 0px;
